Learning Connections  
Since 1976, The Learning Connections Centre has been providing practical and effective help for children of all ages with learning, behaviour, attention disorders and developmental delay.

Learning Connections' uses a holistic approach, and is successful because it treats the underlying causes of the children's problems and not just the symptoms.

If your child displays any of the following signs they could benefit from our help:
  • delayed motor milestones e.g. sitting, crawling, walking
  • delayed language and speech development, reading and spelling difficulties 
  • health problems in early childhood e.g. frequent infections, especially ear infections 
  • short attention for tasks, easily distracted, impulsive, unable to follow directions 
  • difficulty with manual dexterity, poor pencil grip, poor handwriting 
  • good at maths, but poor at language subjects 
  • difficulty copying from far to near/blackboard to pad 
  • demanding, problems making friends, mood swings, variations in performance 

Many factors may be involved in a child's problems. Each child is unique and presents with different labels and different symptoms. Regardless of their labels and symptoms neuro-developmental delay is a causal factor in their problems. 
Learning Connections programs treat the neuro-developmental delay. With improved "brain wiring" as a result of the program the foundations for development are laid down. When this occurs learning programs become more successful.

Most children who attend Learning Connections have had some intervention for the symptoms of their problems, but the underlying causes have not been addressed. Priorities of treatment and addressing the point of intervention cannot be put into scientific theories.

Most children with reading, learning difficulties, attention deficits and behaviour disorders require multiple strategies to overcome their problems. For the majority of these children there are deficits in the way they process both visual and auditory information as well as delays in primitive reflex integration. Learning Connections’ program activities stimulate the vestibular ocular cerebellum loop, which improves visual and auditory processing, and promotes integration of the primitive reflexes. Learning Connections’ specialist learning programs, (proven over 30 years), in conjunction with Learning Connections’ Program activities give children a significant learning breakthrough.

Experience gained since 1976 and based on treating thousands of children has given Learning Connections Centre therapists the skill to intervene at the level of the problem appropriate for the child. Learning Connections' treatment of children with learning difficulties, behaviour and attention problems is based on a continuous process of evaluation and most importantly ongoing treatment.
